April 2006 In February and April I took quilting
classes at the the local quilt
shop, so now I am the proud owner of two unfinished quilts. It turns
out that it's hard to take a picture of a quilt... I think you need to
hang it on a wall but I don't want to hurt them - they aren't bound yet.
quilt 1, called a Tattered Pioneer

quilt 2, called Nettie's Quilted Garden. I chose the colors based on a
quilt that Aunt Pat had made for us, which we have hanging in the
pantry.

Both need to be tied and bound. They are held together with safety pins
right now, which are what the little shiny spots are.
And here are a lot of new pictures of the kids:
What a difference Lucas' haircut made!

Samantha's
favorite canvas is... herself.
Everyone has their own rocking chair now, thanks to Aunt Karen.

This is not an easy picture to get: two little siblings in the same bed
without kicking, hitting or screaming.

 One
of the last of the Holiday gifts to come out was Lucas' Dora the
Explorer playhouse.
Which lasted about 2 days before Samantha jumped on it and it crumpled
to the ground.

Samantha is very generous and nurturing... at least to her stuffed
animals. She will (and frequently does) even give them the shirt off of
her back.
