Story Land
opens Memorial Day Weekend and is open weekends until
fathers day, then daily (early in the season the hours
are until 5:00). Nereledge is 10 minutes away from
Story Land. Story Land
is 35 acres of
playgrounds and amusement park rides. There are also
shows staged for the kids. There are some great, unique
areas like "Professor Bigglestep's Loopy Lab", which
allows you to shoot foam balls at each other and
"Oceans of Fun Sprayground", where you can check out
the submarine or cool off in a spray of water. In
fact, on a hot day you can find a few ways to cool
down in a shady area or water mist. And then there are
some of the standard rides that kids love: spinning
rides and water flumes rides.
Many of the nursery rhymes our kids love come to
life for them in buildings and statues
that can be climbed on and played in. The old woman's
shoe, the three little pigs, Peter Pumpkineater's house... you can spend half your day
reciting rhymes together.

Lucas in the blackbird pie (Sing a song of
sixpence...)
If you go to Story Land at the end of the day (3
hours before the park closes) your tickets get you in
that evening and the next day as well. This is a great
way to visit if you are with little kids who get tired
after a few hours. |
